SMART continues its social media relationship with customers through a series of programs that promote healthy living, teach new skills, and create time for enjoyable activities during these stressful times.
Academic support was shared with students during “Math Lab with Kenan Hyde”, and families received tips through “Healthy Living with Jihane Habet.” RB’s Karoake events have people tuning in to hear their favorite songs and sing along at home.
Because stress relief is so important right now, SMART partnered with Michelle Williams of Om Shanti Belize. Her yoga sessions gave SMART customers the opportunity to learn new poses, improve their breathing, and soothe tired muscles and aching backs from increased remote work and sedentary living due to COVID-19. Under the theme “Breath, Move and Meditate to Thrive in These Times” Williams is showing how yoga practice can help people calm their nerves, relax their minds, build stamina and immunity and even find joyous energy. Her tips to SMART customers facing the new-norm include maintaining a network of friends, meditating to create a “witness consciousness”, and maintaining rituals that set a tone for devotion and gratitude for the day.
SMART invites customers to continue following our social media events which draw on Belizean expertise in a variety of fields, and which are designed to promote their health, happiness and well-being.
